Another later post.
I’ve had a really busy weekend and didn’t have any time to blog!
On Saturday I spent most of the day in the garden as the weather was being kind. We cut both front and back grass, I strimmed the back garden and David trimmed the hedge with me collecting the spoil. We’ve got three full bins and two big builders bags and plan to get a skip to get rid of it all! We have our own skip company, so that won’t be expensive. I love seeing the garden all trimmed and clipped although there’s still more hedge to work on but at least we’ve made a start.
On Saturday night we had a family darts competition. We’ve all been enjoying Thursday Night Darts, so much so we’ve all had dart boards installed. It’s been so much fun planning the evening over the past few weeks. Em and Dan really did a fantastic job, complete with banners, rules and winning cups. We had to get a shit Tee shirt, think of a name and also think of a walk on tune - can you guess what my choice was? (Here’s a clue - Wham) find out below!
So there were two competitions running - all the girls and all the boys. We each played two legs and were scored points for winning all three rounds or winning just one. I was amazed to find I’d reached the semi final and final! I thought I had it in the bag as I only needed 7, whereas Emily needed 57! She randomly threw her darts and upon counting her husband said she’d got the 57 score needed and had won! I was still chuffed to have reached the final especially when I haven’t practiced! David won against the boys and was thrilled, even though he’s played a few games he’d not practiced either. Emily and Dan had prepared drinks and some picky food and pizzas. All in all it was a brilliant night and we all agreed this would be an ongoing competition! Must get my practice in now, I’m planning on winning next time!
I found my Tee shirt in a local pre-loved shop. It was a man’s shirt in an XL which is why it was so big! I wore it over leopard print trousers aiming for a really awful look - do you think I succeeded?
So you’re asking what my name was!
It could have only been Jacqui the blogger Berry 😂 I walked on to my favourite tune … Club Tropicana from George Michael and Andrew Ridgley of course.
Here’s the boys winner in his tee shirt, David looking very pleased with himself.

Thanks very much for stopping by and sorry it’s been a late post. Catch you on Thursday for the linkup my friends.
Bye for now. X
